Senior StridesThis is a low-impact class with interval weight training. Are you interested in joining a fitness class, but are worried that it might be too strenuous on your joints?  Maybe you think you won't be able to keep up with everyone?  Have you ever been sitting in a chair and started tapping your feet or lifting your shoulders up in time to the music?  If you have, then Sit-N-Get Fit is the class for you!  This is a 30 minute class allowing you to sit the entire time while you strengthen, tone and become more flexible.POUND FIT: Pound fitness is the world's first cardio jam session!  A combination cardio and weight training exercise approach that includes some of the rhythmic techniques used in  Pilates.  Pound is a full-body workout. MATTER OF BALANCE:This is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. Because many people experience a fear of falling, they often limit their activities, which can result in physical weakness, making the risk of falling even greater. This program will help achieve and overcome that fear.The class is taught by staff from the York County Area Agency on Aging.DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT:  This program will discuss action planning, decision making, dealing with difficult emotions, healthy eating, exercise, communication skills, using your mind & more! Participants are 60+ living with type 2 diabetes or 60+ caregiver of someone living with type 2 diabetes.CHRONIC DISEASE SELF-MANAGEMENT PROGRAM - LOOKING BEYOND MY CONDITION:CDSMP was developed by Stanford University.  It's a self-management education workshop attended for people with a variety of chronic health conditions like arthritis, pain, hypertension, cancer and more.  It aims to build participants' confidence in managing their health by providing tools like healthy eating, stress management, dealing with difficult emotions, action planning and more.

Shinbudo Karate is a blending of physical training, practical self-defense techniques, and Zen meditation. It's modern karate style is taught in the formal Japanese tradition. Participants will learn to strengthen their spirit, calm their mind and protect themselves. Students should wear loose fitting clothing and be prepared to sweat.

Join York County Walks by walking the York Township Park Trail, a 1.2 mile path to better health. Participants are asked to meet at the Gazebo near Soccer Field #1 for a 5 minute gentle stretch before walking the trail.  Everyone is welcome!  Be sure to dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring your own water.
 
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM    HAM RADIO CLASS - HAM Radio Class
Preparation and Test for FCC Amateur Radio Technician License.  Come with an open mind, pen and paper.  We discourage the use of iPhones, etc. in the class except for emergencies.  Please put on vibrate.  A simple calculator and a windows PC are useful. Participants must attend both days, Saturday,  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sunday,  8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. FCC License Testing will be held on Sunday, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. There may be a $15 FCC License Testing Fee.  This is determined by the testing team that is independent of the instructor.

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM    HAM RADIO CLASS - HAM Radio Class
Preparation and Test for FCC Amateur Radio Technician License.  Come with an open mind, pen and paper.  We discourage the use of iPhones, etc. in the class except for emergencies.  Please put on vibrate.  A simple calculator and a windows PC are useful. Participants must attend both days, Saturday,  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sunday,  8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. FCC License Testing will be held on Sunday, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. There may be a $15 FCC License Testing Fee.  This is determined by the testing team that is independent of the instructor.

Senior StridesThis is a low-impact class with interval weight training. If you are able to march forward and step side to side, then this class is for you!  This class will also help you develop stronger muscles in your chest, shoulders, biceps, and back by using light hand weights.Toning, Abs and PilatesThis hour long class is a mix of weight training, abdominal workout, and core strengthening mat pilates. Are you interested in joining a fitness class, but are worried that it might be too strenuous on your joints?  Maybe you think you won't be able to keep up with everyone?  Have you ever been sitting in a chair and started tapping your feet or lifting your shoulders up in time to the music?  If you have, then Sit-N-Get Fit is the class for you!  This is a 30 minute class allowing you to sit the entire time while you strengthen, tone and become more flexible.POUND FIT: Pound fitness is the world's first cardio jam session!  A combination cardio and weight training exercise approach that includes some of the rhythmic techniques used in  Pilates.  Pound is a full-body workout. MATTER OF BALANCE:This is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. Because many people experience a fear of falling, they often limit their activities, which can result in physical weakness, making the risk of falling even greater. This program will help achieve and overcome that fear.The class is taught by staff from the York County Area Agency on Aging.DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT:  This program will discuss action planning, decision making, dealing with difficult emotions, healthy eating, exercise, communication skills, using your mind & more! Participants are 60+ living with type 2 diabetes or 60+ caregiver of someone living with type 2 diabetes.CHRONIC DISEASE SELF-MANAGEMENT PROGRAM - LOOKING BEYOND MY CONDITION:CDSMP was developed by Stanford University.  It's a self-management education workshop attended for people with a variety of chronic health conditions like arthritis, pain, hypertension, cancer and more.  It aims to build participants' confidence in managing their health by providing tools like healthy eating, stress management, dealing with difficult emotions, action planning and more.

Shinbudo Karate is a blending of physical training, practical self-defense techniques, and Zen meditation. It's modern karate style is taught in the formal Japanese tradition. Join York County Walks by walking the York Township Park Trail, a 1.2 mile path to better health. Participants are asked to meet at the Gazebo near Soccer Field #1 for a 5 minute gentle stretch before walking the trail.  Everyone is welcome!  Be sure to dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring your own water.
 
1:30 PM - 2:00 PM    Water Babies - Water Babies, (Sat)
Enjoy a Saturday morning of water play with your child while she/he becomes familiar with elementary skills such as water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating and underwater exploration.YTRec staff will lead the class.Children must wear a swim diaper.
